Bourbon Glazed Salmon



And here we have it, another Hump Day, Monday is far enough away that I don't have to worry about it tomorrow, and Friday is far enough away that I still have to deal with today and Thursday, I need retirement.

Bourbon Glazed Salmon

wait a minute that sounds bad, BOURBON!




What you'll need:
  1. Large Ziploc bag 
  2. Small Pot
  3. 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  4. 4 tablespoons Bourbon
  5. 2 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
  6. 1 teaspoon Ginger
  7. 1 tablespoon Lime Juice
  8. 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  9. 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  10. 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
  11. 4 (4 ounce) Salmon Fillets
  12. 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon Corn Starch
  13. 1 tablespoon Pecan Chips
  14. Tarragon Leaves
Instructions:
  1. Add Brown Sugar, Bourbon, Red Wine Vinegar, Ginger, Lime Juice, Garlic, Black Pepper and Sea Salt to bag.
  2. Add Salmon Fillets to bag, seal and refrigerate for about 2 hours, flipping occasionally.
  3. Remove from fridge, dump the marinade into the pot and add corn starch.
  4. Heat marinade over medium high heat until it thickens, stirring often.
  5. Once marinade thickens, place salmon on grill, drizzle half the marinade evenly over the 4 fillets.
  6. Grill for about 8 minutes, or until fish flakes easily when poked with a fork.
  7. Remove from grill, evenly spread remaining marinade over the 4 fillets.
  8. Add 1/4 tablespoon pecan chips to each fillet.
  9. Add 1 pinch of tarragon leaves to each fillet.
  10. Eat!
As usual, this tends to mean it's time to play the waiting game.
