Pumpkin Cookies

What
you'll need for Cookies:
- Small Bowl
- Medium Bowl
- Cookie Sheet
- 2.5 Cups Flower
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cloves
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Cup Butter, softened
- 1.5 Cups of Sugar
- 1 Cup Pumpkin
- 1 Egg
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
What you'll need for Icing:
- 2 Bowls (If you only intend on making 1 color icing just combine all these into 1 bowl instead of 2)
- 2 Cups Confectioners' Sugar, 1 Cup per Bowl
- 3 Tablespoons Milk (1.5 Tablespoons per Bowl)
- 1 Tablespoon Melted Butter (.5 Tablespoons per Bowl)
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla (.5 Teaspoons per Bowl)
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (.5 Teaspoons per Bowl)
- 6 Dashes Barrel Aged Whiskey Bitters (3 Dashes per Bowl)
- Green, Red and Yellow Food Coloring (4 drops Green in 1 Bowl, 2 Drops Red and 2 Drops Yellow in the other Bowl to make Orange)
Instructions:
Part 1 (Pumpkin Cookies)
- Preheat Oven to 350°.
- In a Small Bowl mix Flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cloves and Salt.
- In a Medium Bowl Cream the Butter and Sugar.
- Add the Pumpkin, Egg and Vanilla to the mix.
- Mix until Creamy.
- Add the Flour mixture and combine.
- Drop 1 Tablespoon at a time onto the Cookie Sheet.
- Bake for 15 - 20 minutes.
- Remove and allow to cool.
Part 2 (Icing)
- Split the ingredients as instructed above for the icing between 2 bowls and mix.
- Lightly drizzle over cooled cookies.
- EAT UP! (These taste better after they've sat for about a day but are still good right away)
