Berry Mojito


Thought I forgot didn't you? Get used to mojitos for a few weeks, I'm using up fruit. Mojitos, the thirst quencher!

Berry Mojito





What you'll need:
  1. Blender
  2. Small Pot
  3. Jigger
  4. Strainer
  5. Mixer
  6. Muddler
  7. 1 cup sugar
  8. 1 cup water
  9. handful of mint leaves
  10. 1/3 cup blueberries
  11. 1/3 cup raspberries
  12. 1/3 cup blackberries
  13. 3 strawberries
  14. 1/3 cup water
  15. Juice from 1 lime
  16. 3 oz white rum
  17. 2 oz club soda
  18. 1.5 oz berry purée
  19. .5 - .75 oz mint simple syrup
  20. 10 mint leaves 
  21. Glass
  22. Ice 
  23. Mint sprig garnish. 
Instructions:
Part 1 (Mint Simple Syrup)
  1. Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to pot.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Once at a boil add a handful of mint leaves and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Allow to cool, 20 - 30 minutes.
  6. Remove Mint Leaves and Strain syrup into a container.
  7. Set aside, store in refrigerator. 
Part 2 (Berry Purée)
  1. Add 1/3 cup blueberries, 1/3 cup raspberries, 1/3 cup blackberries, 3 strawberries, juice from 1 lime and 1/3 cup water into blender.
  2. Blend until smooth, or at least as smooth as you can get it.
  3. Store in container and set aside. (This made about 2 8oz jars worth)
Part 3 (Berry Mojito)
  1. Add 10 mint leaves to glass.
  2. Add mint simple syrup.
  3. Gently muddle the mint.
  4. Add 1.5 oz berry purée and 3 oz rum to glass.
  5. Fill glass with ice.
  6. Top with club soda and stir gently.
  7. Garnish with a mint sprig.
  8. DRINK UP BITCHES!
