Cinnamon Pie with Almond Whipped Cream

It's Finally here! New season of Psych begins tonight. If you've never seen it, I recommend that you buy it, netflix it, on demand it, anything it, probably my favorite show on TV. Hell, I'll even link to the cinnamon pie episode below.

Shawn: We're not here to judge you, Mr. Barker. We came to investigate, catch bad guys and eat pie.
Gus: Not necessarily in that order.
Shawn: And it hasn't been.
Gus: No.
Shawn: We started with the pie.
Gus: Always.

Cinnamon Pie with Almond Whipped Cream

Fairly easy, just have to wait

What you'll need for Cinnamon Pie:
  1. Medium Bowl
  2. 1 Cup Sugar
  3. 1.5 Tablespoons Flour
  4. 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  5. Pinch of Salt
  6. 1 Egg, beaten
  7. 2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
  8. 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  9. 1.5 Cups Milk
  10. 1 Pie Crust
What you'll need for Almond Whipped Cream:
  1. Medium Bowl, chilled
  2. Whisk, chilled
  3. 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  4. 2 Tablespoons Confectioners' Sugar
  5. 1/2 Teaspoon Almond Extract
Instructions for Cinnamon Pie:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix Sugar, Flour, Cinnamon and Salt.
  3. Add Egg, Butter and Vanilla.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Add Milk.
  6. Mix.
  7. Pour mix into Pie Crust.
  8. Place in Oven.
  9. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
  10. Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 45 minutes.
  11. Allow to cool completely, pie is custard like, will be messy if not cooled.
  12. Top with Almond Whipped Cream.
  13. Eat Up!
Instructions for Almond Whipped Cream:
  1. Put bowl and whisk in freezer for 5 minutes.
  2. Add cream, sugar and almond extract to bowl.
  3. Whip until Cream keeps shape.

Time to add the milk
Very liquidy
let that pie cool completely, it is like a custard, messy if not cooled
I hate doing this shit by hand
