No drink recipe today, although I drank while making this, so there is that.
Fried Pickle Chips and Spicy Mayo Dipping Sauce
 |
Not gonna lie...this could get messy. Recipe for that awesome White Russian in the background coming soon. |
What
you'll need: Pot, Canola Oil, 4 bowls, Slotted Spoon, 2 plates, 3 Zesty Dill Pickles cut into 1/4 inch slices (can also use pickle chips if your too lazy to slice yourself), 3 tablespoons Hellman's Real Mayonaise, 1 tablespoon Sriracha, 1/2 cup flour, 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs, 2 eggs beaten, 1/2 cup milk, pinch of cayenne.
Instructions:
- Set up the 4 bowls in a line.
- Bowl #1: Add 1/2 cup milk
Bowl #2: Add 1/2 cup flour and pinch of cayenne and mix
Bowl #3: Add 2 Eggs and beat
Bowl #4: Add 1 cup Panko break crumbs
- Dip each pickle slice into the Milk, then coat with flour, then coat with egg then coat with bread crumbs and set on a plate, repeat til all slices are covered.
- Take small pot and add about an inch of canola oil (just enough to cover the chips) and heat. (add a drop of water to the oil, if it pops, your ready to cook)
- Add the pickle chips 2 at a time (I can do 8 at a time in my pot, yours may vary depending on pot size) and cook for about a minute (or until both sides are brown) then remove with slotted spoon and place on plate covered with paper towel, repeat til all chips are done.
- Now it's time to make the Sauce.
- Add 3 tablespoons of Hellman's Real Mayonaise and 1 tablespoon Sriracha to a small dish and mix until equally blended.
- Eat Up!
