Strawberry Cream Pie



Happy Thursday! Still sick, so made a pie, Strap in and enjoy.

Strawberry Cream Pie

Strawberries and cream /drool



What you'll need for Pie:
  1. Medium Saucepan
  2. Small Bowl
  3. Large bowl
  4. 9 inch pie pan
  5. 1/2 cup sugar
  6. 1/2 cup milk
  7. 1/2 cup heavy cream
  8. 1/4 cup butter
  9. 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  10. 2 tablespoons milk
  11. 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  12. 1.5 lbs Strawberries, sliced
  13. 1/2 cup Sugar
  14. 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  15. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  16. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  17. 1 package double pie crust
What you'll need for Glaze Topping:
  1. 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  2. 1 tablespoons milk
  3. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  4. 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  5. 1 tablespoons butter, softened
 Instructions for Pie:
  1. Preheat Oven to 400°.
  2. Add 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup cream, and 1/4 cup butter to a medium saucepan.
  3. Heat on medium until butter is melted, stirring regularly.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 2 tablespoons milk, and 1 teaspoons vanilla.
  5. Add to saucepan and mix.
  6. Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
  7. Remove from heat, and set aside to cool.
  8. In a large bowl, combine the strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  9. Mix well.
  10. Line the pie pan with pie dough.
  11. Pour custard filling mixture evenly into lined pie pan.
  12. Arrange strawberry mixture evenly over custard filling.
  13. Top with second crust, I use the lattice top, do however you like.
  14. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until crusts are golden brown. 
  15. Cool for at least 30 minutes.
  16. Drizzle Glaze topping over pie (instructions for glaze below)
  17. Refrigerate for 1.5 - 2 hours.
  18. Eat up!
Instructions for Glaze Topping:
  1. In small bowl, combine 1/2 cup confectioners sugar, 1 tablespoons milk, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla, 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon and 1 tablespoon softened butter.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Drizzle evenly over warm pie.

Drizzle this shit over top of the pie.
Glazed and delicious, let that shit cool
Top with some homemade Vanilla Whipped Cream, Devour!
